Surgical masks can block most bacteria and some viruses, preventing health care workers from becoming infected. They can also avoid the direct discharge of microorganisms cared for in the breath of medical personnel, thus posing a threat to patients undergoing surgery. The efficiency of medical masks for filtering bacteria is required to be above 95%.    In line with the YY0469-2004 "Medical Surgical Mask Technology Development Requirements", its important information technology capability indicators mainly include filtration efficiency, bacterial filtration efficiency and respiratory resistance. Specific indicators are as follows:


   1. Filtration efficiency: Under the condition of airflow (30±2)L/MIN, the filtration efficiency of the pneumatic median diameter (0.24±0.06) sodium chloride aerosol is not less than 30%.


   2. Technical efficiency of bacterial filtration: under different specified conditions, the working efficiency level of Staphylococcus aureus aerosol with an average large particle size of (3±0.3)μm can be not less than 95%; The filtration rate of bacteria is ≥ 95%. The filtration rate of non-oily particles should be ≥ 30%.


   3. Respiratory resistance: under the condition of filtration efficiency flow, inspiratory resistance is less than 49PA and expiratory resistance is less than 29.4PA. When the pressure difference P between the mask and the two sides is 49 PA-CM, the gas flow rate should be ≥ 264 MM/S.


   4. Nose clip and mask strap: The mask should be equipped with a plastic nose clip, and the length of the nose clip should be greater than 8.0CM. The mask belt should be easy to wear and disassemble. At the joint of the mask body, the breaking strength of each mask belt should be greater than 10N.


   5. Artificial blood penetration: After spraying 2ML artificial blood to the outside of the mask with 16.0KPA(120MMHG), there should be no penetration on the inside of the mask.


   6. Flame retardant technical performance: the mask should be made of non-combustible materials, and the flame will burn no more than 5S after leaving the flame.
